WHAT IS LABYRINTH LINK AUSTRALIA?

This is a voluntary organisation for Australians interested in spreading the centering benefits and healing use of the Labyrinth throughout our great country.

I wish to create both

• A way for people to communicate their interest in this ancient meditational path;
• And a way for people to find a labyrinth to walk near home displlayed with its open hours.

Obviously this will involve us in building many more and training a network of willing facilitators.

AIMS

TO MAKE THE LABYRINTH AVAILABLE TO ALL INTERESTED Australians and to spread the use of this healing, meditational path all around our country.
To make it possible for interested parties to find each other and get started on the path. This Network is to link people and help them learn, share and facilitate but it is not intended as advertising and a sales pitch for all allied products.
I want to keep things simple, uncluttered and efficient, thanks.

I went and trained as a Facilitator at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco in November 2002 and Chartres in May 2003 because I personally wish to see the Labyrinth included in all places where people are confined, to compliment the health services already offered -in

1. Hospitals and hospices
2. Aged care facilities
3. Detention centres and prisons
4. Centres for the disabled and mentally ill. There is mounting evidence that repeated use of a labyrinth can bring calm and healing to its walkers. One of the oldest examples is at Harmony Hill in Union, USA where it serves a cancer and retreat centre. Another successful example is at the Pacific Medical Centre in San Francisco.
